Pati Ortiz is the co-founder of Xtraordinary.
She is an education and nonprofit leader with more than 15 years of experience supporting children, families, schools, and community-based organizations.
Her work has spanned special education, family engagement, community schools, child and family services, and education policy, giving her a unique understanding of both how education systems work and how overwhelming they can feel to families trying to navigate them.
Pati has spent much of her career helping families identify needs, understand their options, connect with the right resources, and advocate effectively for their children. She is especially skilled at taking complicated information, school processes, evaluations, special education services, policies, and systems, and turning it into clear, practical next steps.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in a simple belief: parents know their children. Sometimes they just need someone who knows the system to help them make sense of what they're seeing, ask the right questions, and figure out where to go next.

She holds an MS, a JD, and an LLM, and spent more than a decade working internationally across the art world, collaborating with leading institutions. Through Stanford University, Tatiana has a deep and ongoing commitment to education and knowledge-sharing.
